Annie Oakley Commemorative, Winchester Model 9422XTR, .22 long rifle cal. lever action rifle. Serial #AOK6, mfg. 1982. New in box, unfired, unracked. Limited edition run of 6000. A most historically significant and beautiful Winchester rifle commemorating "Little Miss Sure-Shot" who traveled the globe with the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show during the late 1800's and early 1900's (she died in 1926). Gold receiver, lever and barrel band make for an ornate presentation. Receiver is engraved on the left side with Annie standing on a horse during an exhibition shoot and the classic portrait of her on the right side with her chest full of shooting medals. Fancy wood stock with gloss finish is beautiful with burls and swirls. Factory box and papers. Gorgeous piece that will display well. A fine investment piece to put away. NOTE: Serial number is 6 which was the number for this particular estate - nearly all of his commemoratives were this low number over the years. So if you are interested in keeping this number together, note carefully each upcoming commemorative now and in the upcoming months. C&R OK.
